The Hitwoman Gets Her Man
Confessions of a Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman Book 34
When her boyfriend mysteriously vanishes, Maggie Lee doesn’t know what to think.
She wants to search for him, but her efforts are hampered by a friend needing her help and the fact that she’s supposed to be babysitting her nieces for the weekend. Little kids and sleuthing don’t exactly go hand-in-hand.
Then Maggie receives an upsetting phone call that knocks her for a loop. Thankfully cooler heads prevail (namely that of a grammatically challenged Doberman pinscher – who woulda thunk it?!).
Determined to figure out exactly what’s happened to her missing boyfriend, she sets off with an unexpected ally and some new friends to find him.
Can Maggie get her man back? Or will they both fall victim to a rabbit-trapping, fire-setting psycho?

Prologue
You just know it’s going to be a bad day when you’re being hunted.
Here I was, stuck in the great outdoors hunting a lunatic, with only a know-it-all lizard, a nervous bunny, and a raccoon who might be too clever for her own good.
You’re probably wondering how I got into this predicament.
It all started with me trying to save my boyfriend, Gino, who’d been kidnapped. He’s the bodyguard of a mob boss, so you’d think that if someone took him, it’d be connected to his job. That’s what I thought. That’s what his boss had believed. That’s what a certain member of the law enforcement community surmised when I asked for his help.
We were all wrong.
This had nothing to do with criminal activities and everything to do with matters of the heart.
And right now, someone’s trying to put a bullet through mine.
